Vijay Human Services is a recognized service provider for intellectual and developmental disabilities in the State and holds a valid license, “Rights for Persons with Disabilities (RPWD) license” for providing such services. About 1100 children with IDD have received special education services from Vijay Human Services. Psychological testing services was provided to about 20,000 children with IDD during 1980 to 2015.

Madras Developmental Programming System (MDPS) is a curriculum based tool that helps teachers to assess, develop individualized education plan and evaluate the progress based on a system using a behavioral scale, color coded profile and progress monitoring charts. It measures students’ behavior in 20 skills across 18 developmental domains that are appropriate for birth through adult years.
Teaching Yogasana to the Mentally Retarded persons is a guidebook for teachers to implement simple asanas, breathing exercises and rest using specialized instructions for people with intellectual disabilities. It is one of its kind in the country to adapt yoga techniques under the guidance of Yogacharya, Shri.T.Krishnamacharya for special needs individuals.
